Pauline Bewick, Josephine & me, a little story…

Once there was a girl whose early school days were made memorable due to a sympathetic teacher who recognised she had a learning difficulty and encouraged her artistic skills. That girl grew up to become one of Ireland’s greatest artistic treasures and has become an integral part of Ireland’s cultural legacy. Many years later that girl and I met in the most wonderful way at a book launch party for @mywildatlantickitchen and following that I ended up designing her new website. It was a project that saw me through Lockdown 3 and was an honour to work on. That girl was Pauline Bewick. That teacher was Josephine Murphy, my grandmother. The circle is complete. What a wonder life is!
