Designed & Crafted in Ireland
In this ever increasing digitised world I feel strongly that we strive to keep the fading traditional arts alive and incorporate them into modern working life. These arts are an essential enrichment to our contemporary lives and environments; they allow us to create freely and make mistakes, learn and enjoy some mindfulness. I am trying to contribute to the continued practice and endurance of two of these arts, hand lettering & platen press printing through my wall prints and art which include illustrations and quotes from writers and poets in English and in Irish.
Traditional Arts
21st century practices
By using modern day tools to enhance the design and printing process - over the last 3 years, though countless hours of testing and trialling multiple processes I have fine tuned the design process for my prints to incorporate traditional and modern tools from pencil, various nib pens, paint brushes and paper to apple pencil to screen. This innovative design process has enabled me to grow my business by being able to work on new collections over the last year, as well as working on commercial branding projects where hand drawn custom logotypes help to set brands at a very high standard with a unique identity.
